Fixtures for 2022/23

Post by juanillo » 16 Jun 2022, 13:38

Does anyone know when the new fixtures will be out? It was mid July last year.

I expect we will be playing Sutton, Boldmere and Coleshill around Christmas and Easter and other Bank Holidays. That's a bit dispiriting reading that back, so all the more reason to get out of the division this season!

Yep. .. looks nailed on Sutton v Bolmere on Boxing Day so looks like the joys of Coleshill for us 🤯throw in Bedworth as an outsider and we have a full house of greengrocer table cloths to look forward to 🤮

Just to upset you even more. FIFA today announced the 16 stadiums that will host matches during the 2026 World Cup Finals. 9 of them have artificial surfaces and 1 is a hybrid surface i.e. it has natural grass "reinforced" by plastic grass. The remaining 6 are grass.

That's what happens when you give a World Cup to yet another area of the World that has no idea about football. Obviously I discount Mexico from that statement but America and Canada should stick to ice hockey or something. Once again FIFA has lost the plot.

I was under the impression that most of the Premiership pitches in this country use that sort of hybrid model. Do you know more about that from your professional viewpont?
