Friday Signing

Post by YeltzDoc » 08 Oct 2021, 12:25

The tweet that someone's coming in on a Friday still gives me the wobbles after the end of the JH era when we had 3 a week.
"It's Bob Wallopit, whose former clubs include Khalsa, Wolverhampton Cassies, Tipton and Khalsa Reserves" etc

However, we're not that club anymore. Given that we are keen on a re-recruit, who'd you like to see?

I'll kick it off with a one-in-one-out. Jack to the Villa for 100k, welcome back Luke Yates.

Who else?

As a re-recruit, then Simeon Cobourne for me. Quick forwards like him are hard to come by.

Yep. Would add a dimension that we don't currently have.

That would be the perfect signing for me.

Alternatively I'd like to see us sign either a centre half or left back. (Return of Bowen?)

hopefully Steve Vowles will be back to help with this terrible defence we have................. and going the other way I think Jason Owen can solve England's left sided problem

Both solid shouts.

Jason Owen's wondergoal still lives on in my mind's eye. When it rattled the stanchion, he was the most surprised bloke in Halesowen.

Can't pick the bloody lottery numbers though.
Great to have him back. Somebody hitting the box quickly to get on the end of things is something we have lacked of late.
Welcome back Simeon! 👍

I think we need a left back, and the puzzle is complete.

I never understood why he (Simeon) left to join a club only a league above us. I thought he'd have gone to a step 2 side, such was his performances at the time, great to have him back tho'. A fantastic player and he'll be an important component in getting out this "farmers" league.
