Chasetown, Carlton and Ilkeston all won away today to close the gap.

Coleshill got hammered 4-1 by Chasetown so we are still top, but there are 5 teams all within 2 points.

But we do have two games in hand on most, and one on Chasetown who we have played and beaten.

Probably a good job we did. They are starting to look like serious contenders, if that's possible this early in the season.

No, completely agree. Joey Butlin looks a serious player. Apparently didn’t like how serious it was at Hereford but found a club that would pay him the same two leagues below. Regardless, looks a terrific footballer and they seem a damn good side.

If we can get the sick list down to sensible levels we shouldn’t need to worry about anybody else

Very true John. I'm just glad we got off to a flyer. If there is another consistent side in the league playing catch can be difficult. This may be a high points season for a couple of clubs.

Stamford lost at home to Daventry in the Trophy. Daventry have been floundering badly at the bottom of the league, but I hope we aren't on the end of a rebound effect on Tuesday.

Of course, I have no idea if the home side were rotating the players.

Also I noticed Stourbr*dge got an attendance of over 1,000, against Needham Market, although they still couldn't win ;)

But at least their points total has reached the number of sides of their ground

I think it was Junior Day so the crowd was boosted by a lot of families.
