I haven't seen a pyramid table yet but I assume there are 3 divisions now at our level in the North. I wonder what the promotion structure will be.
1 up from each
1 up from each plus a round robin play off off the 2nd place teams to make 4
1 up from each and best placed 2nd
or 2 up from each and 6 relegated ( unlikely).

More likely three up,three down we are dealing with football administrators here!

No they’ve created an extra league at Step 4 to make things nice and even. So there are now 8 leagues at Step 4, and 4 leagues above us at Step 3. It’ll be two up, four down across all of these leagues I imagine.

Oh right. So not necessarily promoted within the area you are in. Good shout.

I'm glad it wasn't the 'pie' league in the end.

Are Soham and Sporting Khalsa the only teams in the new league we haven't played before?

Can someone confirm about promotion and relegation in the new set up? Previously at Step 3 with 22 teams in divisions, there were 3 relegated teams which if continued, would leave 12 promotion slots across the 8 divisions at Step 4.

So each champion at Step 4 would go up , leaving play offs to produce a further 8 teams , who in turn would play off to determine the remaining 4 promotion places.

However that sounds a bit contrived and will make it harder to get out of Step 4.

Unless they change relegation at Step 3 to demoting 4 clubs...

I work with the Sutton Coldfield goalie and he reckons it will be a competitive league next season. Apparently one or two have a few quid and have been ambitious with some signings.

Their manager is of a similar view -
This is going to be fun

There are at least 10 teams here going all out and breaking the bank for promotion this year

Let the fireworks commence

Mind you, everyone's a potential league winner in August, let alone in May.

My only fear for us is keeping hold of some of our players. I don't think it will be long before bigger clubs come sniffing around.
