With Tier 4 imminent the club has launched an appeal for £10000 to keep things financially stable. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding ... RZXSo06iFw

Personally, I've written the season off.

See you all in (all being well) late June / early July for pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Are we in any danger financially do we think?
Do the players still take a wage during this period?

I’ve already donated and will try and give more when o can.

I'd imagine every single club below the Premier League / top half of the Championship is struggling financially. However, I'd like to think we are better off than a lot of other clubs at our level.

As for players wages, I understand that contracted players are on furlough, so if that's correct, that's an expense that we don't have to pay out on.

I'm not sure what other expenses we have right now. Council tax, rent payable to the Yeltz Trust for the Grove (I'm not 100% on this, Noggin maybe able to clarify on this), insurance, pitch maintenance, utility bills, maybe? Probably more outgoings than those listed, too.

What I am sure of, is that it'll amount to a lot, and with no income, the bills have to be paid somehow. It's worrying.

I hope as many of those that are able to, do donate. The club have given us so much over the last two years, the fans need to step up and come together to help out in whatever way we can.

One clarification, ground rent is payable to the James Grove Trust and used to be payable in August, so I shouldn’t imagine that being a consideration at the moment.

Yeltz Trust being a completely different thing altogether. My error! :-\

On the subject of fundraising:

Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division side South Shields have announced an incredible £378,925 worth of shares.
The shares have been purchased by 1,037 supporters and investors, including Little Mix star Jade Thirlwell.

The club added: "The initial target of £250,000 of investment was quickly smashed as supporters and investors took their opportunity to buy equity in the club and become an even bigger part of our future.

"Every pound raised will remain within the club and be reinvested. The funds will all be put to good use and will bolster our ambitions to continue climbing the football pyramid as a club at the heart of its community.

"A number of perks were available as part of the campaign depending on the size of investment."

If only we could do something similar
