London and parts of Essex and Hertfordshire going into Tier 3 so that will affect the Isthmian League.

Looks like some clubs in the Northern Premier League may restart on Saturday, including ones in Tier 3.

Any news on the restart yet? Southern league having a wall
Of silence again. Now that the NPL have delayed to the new year do we think ours will do the same?

It's the Northern League that have delayed until January. The Northern Premier league are having some matches on Saturday.
The Southern League were waiting for the announcement on changes to the Tiers which I gather is not now until tomorrow

Thes season was due to end on 08-May, but this has been extended until end-May. At the moment, there are 7 postponed fixtures to fit in, resuming on 2 Jan would add another 3 fixtures, making 10 in total to fit in before May.
If a restart is delayed until the start of Feb (31-Jan currently Dunstable (H), 06-Feb currently Biggleswade (A)) then 5 fixtures in January get added to the backlog making 15 in total.

It is highly likely in my opinion that C-19 case load in January means that football will be delayed to the start of February at the earliest, probably later. This would mean playing 2 games per week for the reason of the season, is that really practical? I would suggest that if matches are not resumed before 02-Feb then the season cannot be completed.

On top of that, will teams at 3 sided grounds be able to play home matches in May or later ::)

From the Southern League - nothing before Jan 9th, probably.
2020/21 Season Restart Statement
As indicated previously the Southern League Board has met following the latest Government review and they have unanimously agreed to continue with the pause of the 2020/21 season.
Since the initial survey on the 2nd December the infection rate has deteriorated in the geographical footprint of our Member Clubs, which has resulted in a larger number of Southern League Clubs being placed in Tier 3. In reaching this decision the Board considered several factors such as the lack of income from secondary spend revenue, the reduced attendances at Tier 3 clubs and more importantly, the duty of care the league has to Players, Club Officials, Volunteers and Supporters during this current pandemic.

The Board will continue to monitor the situation in line with the Government review dates and/or any decision that allows Government grants to become available to member clubs.

The Board has not yet set a formal re-start date but this is unlikely to be before the 9th January 2021 and the Clubs will be given at least 10 days’ notice of the recommencement of the 2020/21 season allowing them preparation time to stage League matches.

It is also noted that the Isthmian League are taking a similar approach with their Member Clubs.
