I haven't listened to this as yet so this question may have been answered. As there would be more divisions at our level would it mean less promoted from each division? As to regards where we would be travelling, nowhere at this level will make us happy. It's all shite and promotion is the only way out of it.

I would assume if the goal is a 1-2-4-8 pyramid, then four down, two up would be a standard.

The FA Alliance & Leagues committees have recommended that the non-league restructure takes place.

Under the proposal (which requires FA Council approval) 110 clubs at Step 5-7 will be upwardly moved.

Results from the 19/20 & 20/21 seasons will be used to rank teams.

So, it affects us thusly.

According to this, 20 clubs will get moved up to our level, then it all shaken out for one more league to be run by the NPL at that level, into which we have a good chance of being put, given that it would have to move the line of where the North covers a bit further South.

And as it also describes where these 20 clubs will come from, and that it will be done on PPG from the matches completed in the last two seasons, someone has probably already worked that out and had a guess at allocation. *looks at HH*

Overall, if we went North, into a league that is generally considered to be better run, and that will be diluted by a disproportionate number of Step 5 clubs being promoted into it (as mentioned in the fine print), and that it'll be a bit closer to YeltzDoc Towers, formerly Bedside Manor, in sunny Harrogate, then that's a win imo.

It all depends which way you look at it. Turn the map 90 degrees clockwise, we're in the NPL. 90 degrees anticlock, we stay south
