My only fear for us is keeping hold of some of our players. I don't think it will be long before bigger clubs come sniffing around.

You've got bigger things to be upset about.
The friendly on the 27th v Sutton has been replaced with Tamworth (a)

I'm glad it wasn't the 'pie' league in the end.

Are Soham and Sporting Khalsa the only teams in the new league we haven't played before?

Can someone confirm about promotion and relegation in the new set up? Previously at Step 3 with 22 teams in divisions, there were 3 relegated teams which if continued, would leave 12 promotion slots across the 8 divisions at Step 4.

So each champion at Step 4 would go up , leaving play offs to produce a further 8 teams , who in turn would play off to determine the remaining 4 promotion places.

However that sounds a bit contrived and will make it harder to get out of Step 4.

Unless they change relegation at Step 3 to demoting 4 clubs...
I've asked The Oracle and the league. And in a fashion that should in no way fish in some haters....

A quiet day in my office.

NPL Div 1 Midlands 21/22 allocation, ranked by PPG for the last two seasons. Khalsa and Slipshod Shepshed's results come from Step 5 (i.e. the league below) everyone else's are from our level.

Yes, the soup was, and I hope still is, legendary.

The old fella has indeed passed away but it’s a family business and will carry on as before.

Gosh. The most famous food in football has gone and it's not been on national news. It's brought to our attention by Sean who lives in Spain! Kiddy will never be the same again.

For them as don’t know, the Soup was like a three course meal.
So great they named their Fanzine after it.
Cottage Pies too, I think.
Proper, “Local made, very high quality.”

Kiddy should have 12 points deducted as punishment for failing to sort things out ;)

kiddy was good but my bestest scoff were the hotdogs at Gloucester City. I used to go there firstly for the scoff and secondly the match.
