Heh heh...after Lye is a very dark and grim place, that shall not be spoken of >:D .

Does anyone know if you have to print the tickets off or are they accepting them off your phone?

Actually as I type I see valenciayeltz and El Seano are with us. I bet this talk of Lye is making them long to be here.🤔

I won’t have a word said against The Lye, tropical or otherwise.

Westy and I went there for a drink before a gig in Stourbr*dge. I asked one of my Stourbr*dge (boooo) mates if he fancied joining us for a pint in the Fixie, to which he replied,
“I’m not getting the bus to drink a six quid pint of cat’s piss in a war zone.”

So, perhaps opinions are mixed...

That's one way of putting it ... (Although I could do with a decent pint of proper beer and a curry!)

That there Cambridge got their first league win tonight too against Soham. Certainly going to be a compelling next 3 matches for us on the A14

I've just at looked Waze, in my brain I'd reckoned 1hr 45, just off the A1, no probs. Hmm. 3 hrs.
Google says 2hrs but I cant see that tbh
Have you been since they have constructed a link from A1 Jnc of A14 onto the A14 avoiding the silly Huntington junction? That together with the slick Jnc now from M6 to A14 also now cuts out two stupid traffic Islands which I used to queue up for ages when ever going that way for work.

Just have to hope no break downs or accidents.

It's much better now, you're right. The road is generally clear but it's one of those bizarre journeys that seem to go on for ever. I've never understood why. It's not that far.

We often had this discussion when regular trips to Norwich and Ipswich were needed for work. One plausible explanation I once was given was the fact that the road is almost straight, almost flat and almost devoid of towns, and therefore you have absolutely nothing to concentrate on. Makes sense as whenever I drive from Orlando to Miami the road is the same, and a 6 hour drive feels like 6 days ::)

There's loads of it too. I used to work in Peterborough and the sign on the A1/A14 junction says that Harwich is 120 miles East of there.
I thought that Copenhagen was only about 80 miles in that direction?
