BTW North Leigh's cup game was rained off with a waterlogged pitch, and according to Ollie Bayliss on Twitter - https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/statu ... 9826419712 - they have to play Sunday or Monday or both teams are out.

North Leigh's pitch looks pretty bad with all the rain - see https://twitter.com/NorthLeigh_FC/statu ... 0456170496 - so this must be a possibility, and if they do play Monday presumably that means our League game against them will be off too?

North Leigh's postponed game today was in the league, so Tuesday's Yeltz v North Leigh match goes ahead as planned. A reminder that this game kicks off at 7.30pm though.

Would it be the home side that conceded if the fixture couldn’t be played? Forgive me for smirking at the irony of Concord potentially being eliminated because of being drawn at home.

My mistake on the North Leigh game (I looked on their website and it looked like they’d won in the cup a couple of games ago)

The FA Cup rules about postponements seem madness. I’m going to guess they were only thinking about if both teams couldn’t play because of COVID, rather than bad weather?

There’s no way that if Man Utd v Liverpool is off because of bad weather it won’t be rescheduled at a suitable date, rather than in the next 2 days

No Poll the rules cover bad weather And not COVID. COVID excludes the affected team, but bad weather excludes both teams if the tie cannot be played in the two days after the original tie.

Why are they even in such a rush? It's only just October. There's still every chance the season may not finish anyway. Are the FA trying to cram it all in before Christmas.

Yup, I got that - I was just trying to understand what the hell they were thinking in making such a short sighted rule.

Clearly a fool’s errand and nobody can understand what the FA is thinking
