I understand that Rich, but it's not just going to be our ground. It will be introduced at clubs getting many times our attendance and even at the Grove I can't see people standing apart anyway. Maybe matches will become all ticket with each ground setting a limit they can accommodate safely.
We must have easily the best attendance in our league??
As you say maybe put a cap on numbers and perhaps close the Shed. this would I would imagine make the Grove comply with regulations??

I would expect that arrangements would look something like
  • A cap on attendances, in extreme circumstances all-ticket
  • hand cleansing facilities on entry
  • signage on entry saying that entering is a declaration of being symptom free
  • capture of attendees (for track and trace)
  • Harry Rudge stand to be one row in three, available seats spaced out along rows
  • 1 metre grids marked on terraces
  • either 1 metre grids in Shed or closed altogether
  • recommendations against singing or shouting (good luck with that one)
  • documented risk assessments
  • reduced capacity for toilets, cafe and bar. increased clean of these
All of which requires a significant amount of preparation and effort to resource for each match day
Also, if an attendee develops symptoms, does that mean that the whole crowd needs to self-isolate afterwards?

For reference, average attendances last season

Is the phrase, “National League System” a new thing?
Does it mean the non-league pyramid?

Anyhoo, in a sub-document, it gives us a starting date of Sep 19.

RETURN TO COMPETITIVE FOOTBALL
The FA strongly recommend a phased return to competitive football, with no fixtures taking place before the end of July. During this time competitive training can occur, with groups limited to 30 people including coaches. Competitive matches, including pre-season friendlies, can begin from Saturday, August 1st.
The FA and the Leagues are aiming for a September start
of competitive matches in the NLS; however, this is subject to change in accordance with Government guidance and approval for paying spectators, which may be published from time to time. NLS (or relevant FA Competition) fixtures are proposed to commence on:
• Step 1 & 2: No earlier than Saturday, 5th September 2020
Steps 3 & 4: Saturday, 19th September 2020
• Steps 5 & 6: From Saturday 5th September 2020
Clubs must complete their Action Plans for all aspects of this document as soon as possible to ensure that Leagues are able to start against these timetables.
19th was the last that we heard.

I still think every match will have to be all ticket. We may get 500, but higher up the leagues some could get 3000+. Also if league clubs are having to keep their numbers down due to keeping people apart a lot of those people would try to attend non League games if their was no restriction. If Albion, Blues, Villa and Wolves all restricted their numbers we could potentially get thousands if not all ticket.

Ollie Bayliss has posted that

"No fans are allowed at friendly or competitive non-league games under current rules.

However, I understand the FA has submitted a proposal to the DCMS to allow spectators.

If accepted, socially distanced fans in groups of 6 (or 2 households) will be allowed."

It's all a bit of a gamble isn't it. Literally anything could happen in the next 12 months, but if you don't have a ticket you may struggle to get in, who knows. Or we could be left with unused tickets again and lose more money.
