Gutting to think that today would probably have been the day where we would have had the league sewn up after beating Berkhamsted at home 🙄

Nah, let's make it more exciting! Prematch we are 6 points behind them after suffering a downturn following our heartbreaking narrow defeat against Concord. This is all we have left after a mammoth season. A win today and a win on Tuesday against relegated Wantage will take us into the final day level on points with a superior goal difference. Bring on St Neots!!!!!

Yeah but the Last Key sucks.
Serious note. All the associations have a monopoly over the game. Unless there is something in their regulations, may as well accept it and despise them inwardly.

Nationwide Leagues to end the season.

Does it help us? Does it endanger the Trophy Semis? How will the Trophy money be divvied-up if it does?

All a bit Johnny Nash...

Semi final winners in the Trophy get £15k, losers get £5k.
Ideally the £40k total would be split between all four semi-finalists if the competition is abandoned (which is only a matter of time I would guess). If there’s is any justice in the world we will get at least the £5k losers “prize’. But there again, the FA is involved, so common sense and justice do not apply.

With anticipated prize money of 2 x £20,000 for the 2 semi-finals and £90,000 for the final (£60k/£30k) giving a total of £130k shouldn't we be in for a quarter of that if the competition goes no further. Any arguments that we should have a smaller share due to league status won't hold up as we can show that we have already more than exceeded our status in the last few rounds (in virtually all rounds in fact). £5k seems a very small return in this case.

£32.5k each would go down very nicely I imagine. We will have lost the revenue from the semis, and potentially the final, although I don't know how that gate would have been divvied up, but best part of 33 grand would sweeten the pill.

We'd have to sell plenty of balti pies in the Yeltz Cafe to make that sort of cash, so it would definitely make a nice sweetener.

We'll just have to win it next year for the real glory ;)

Probably a lot of the cash that the FA dole out is countered by their revenue from the final. If that ain't happening.....
