It was much better in the second half, and for a change chances were created.
On a sour note, I wasn't impressed with one of two in the shed yesterday. The amount of abuse directed at the referee and their keeper in particular overstepped the mark. It's when banter goes too far and the irony in the overweight chants was lost on on some of those giving it out. Good job the beer is in plastic cups as well as those were thrown as well.
Just one or two I know, and there were a few extras in yesterday with the season ticket offer.
You wouldn[shadow][/shadow]'t get away with shouting that stuff in the street at someone but as it's football, it's seen as fair game.

As I've put on another topic John regarding this. Me and Rob have been on their forum to defend our fans. I have never heard anything so crazy. For the number of fans we get I would put us along ANY side in the country as to having the best and friendliest fans. That's why everybody we play enjoys having us or coming to the Grove.

How many teams in the league would have an impact on the total. Only a two seasons ago there were 24 in our league and down to 20 now following restructure and relegation.

If a post from a Halifax fan I read is correct there are no replays from this round on. So we could get a maximum of 16 games. Let's hope.....
3rd & 4th round no replays settled on the day with extra time and penalties if needed

I seem to recall Alvechurch playing Oxford city TEN matches, nine replays, ( A record as the longest FA Cup tie ). I dont know how many matches both teams played before that tie, or how many further matches that the winners (Oxford City) played after. No doubt someone will check it out.

If I remember we once played Hednesford 4 times in the SSC. Drew the first 2. In the third Hednesford played an ineligible player so it went to a fourth, which they won. I f memory serves,
. Also played them in the Trophy and 2 league games.

I do remember this, but I am not the Halifax fan's friend who remarked about the Leiston game, so it's interesting that someone else observed the same behaviour that day.
It was bad though, albeit very localised, and bad enough for me to post about the behaviour. In hindsight, I should have reported them at the time.
It was definitely some people who were not regular attendees but supporters of a league club, and I've never seen them since.
