Sprouter - that is the correct answer.

Frank's dad was on 15 to 1, with William G. String.

And, to put people out of my misery, he was the person knocked out four from the end, which for those that remember the program, means that he was the last one out before the final round.

Correct Franko?

It was the late Tom Cole on countdown and I beleive he was champion (the wonder horse) for one day.

Tom died in tragic circumstances a few years ago.

Wow, I remember him as a quiet but very highly intelligent lad a few years below me at King Edward's, Edgbaston.

Really sorry to hear that he died at a young age.
