New Signing Claxon!!!

Sort of.

If Ada gets his finger out.

Spectacular news though, for those of us of a certain age.

Actually, fair enough.

I remember that match against The Villa and being "moved on" by the ref. If I memory serves me right this was because the keeper didn't like us taking the p*ss out of him. Also seem to think that there was a rather long delay as we argued that the ref had no authority to move us as we were behind the ropes that had been put up to keep the massive crowd off the pitch and we didn't move until he threatened to abandon the match.

Shit day that was. Went straight from there to St Andrews to watch Kiddy put Blues out the FACup. :-\

Very excited that the mythical 13th edition has now been captured for posterity!

Realise my scanning of FYI 1-12 has somewhat stalled after number 3 - to be honest I got bored of scanning - but I'll try to crack on with the others over the next few days.

1-3 are here (and the others will appear there too) if anyone is still interested - https://yeltzland.net/followyourinstinct

Lots of us went to the Temple of Doom that afternoon, but most stood in the Kiddy end, and enjoyed it considerably more than our Blue Nosed cousins.

And as mentioned elsewhere, at least two of the three scorers went on to play for us - I don’t remember if Jon Purdie every featured for the mighty Yeltz.
Although Neil Cartwright didn’t play many.
And Catalogue Man wore the shirt a number of times, but, as the name suggests, did fuck all.

And while we’re on Nostalgia Boulevard, didn’t Henry Wright get knocked out and swallow his tongue in that match?

He did indeed. Wouldn't go to hospital. We assumed we knew why. ::)
