I get the fact that we are now in the digital age and maybe the “old” crest needed simplifying, however, I personally think that the club could have come up with say a final three designs and let the fans decide which one we would have liked. Will the people who are not so keen on the “new” crest be put off from buying merchandise I wonder? If I remember the now “managerless” Everton had similar issues a couple of seasons ago (I know they are premier league this is just an example) : - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... d-out.html

It may come as a shock to some but there have been changes within the set up in the past, there have been professional board room set ups over the years, surprisingly the club crest survived it all bar slight tinkering by M**s*n & the Brothers Grim.

Didn't realise this thread had been started. I have commented on Facebook and Twitter.
Existing badge is a true representation of St John's Church. The 1000 year old parish church of halesowen.
The new crest is a generic 'church tower' and a caricature of our own church.

I am intrigued to find out who decided to change it and why?

I will not buy one solitary item with that on. I was looking forward to getting my season ticket Saturday as well but right now I'm not happy at all. Might not even bother.

I don't know jack about digital this and that, but if it cant reproduce our proper club crest it cant be all that good. Simplify? Why? Get your computers and digital stuff improved to support our proper crest.

Need to assess the effect of major changes like this BEFOREHAND. Might as well have dome of St Paul on there - has as much relevance to Halesowen as the generic crest chosen. I agree with Andy, I will not buy any product with that crest on and now I've to explain to my grandson why I won't be buying him a new shirt either
