I think it's great to see that the area we were lacking in slightly last season has been addressed quickly by JH. I'm sure there will be more ins and outs throughout the summer - but good to see JH and Matty Clarke are moving early on.

I know pre-season means little but it's good that we are seemingly striving to get new additions early so they have chance to settle in the squad and gel by the start of the year.
I expect the cor of last seasons squad to stay barring offers from big local non league sides.

With the signings we've made though I think it's certainly sent out the right message to those Yeltz players with aspirations for playing at a higher level. If we can keep the nucleus of the squad together and start the season well with these two new strikers (and Daniels fit) I see no reason why we couldn't push on for next year.

From the club site...
Halesowen Town FC are delighted to announce two further signings tonight to the Yeltz ranks for 2015/16. Halesowen have beaten off many clubs including teams from higher up the pyramid to sign midfielder Ashley Parsons Smith and striker Connor Collins. Ashley (left) signs from Stourport Swifts after being part of Kidderminster Harriers youth and can play on the right side of midfield. Connor (right) joins from Fairfield Villa with an impressive record of 44 goals in 39 matches last season, including a two month spell at Worcester City. John Hill said, 'We are delighted to have some much sought after young talent joining Halesowen. Being able to attract Ashley and Connor is great for direction of the football club.'
Crikey, two more in then!

A look at the Fairfield Villa website tells me that Connor Collins won the players player of the award (jointly) and the top scorer award last season.

I assume , and hope , that the back 3/4/5 including the keeper have/will sign for the season . As important as signing new midfielders strikers.
Very encouraging signs though

Ashley Parsons-Smith - When was the last time we had a player with a double-barrelled name?
Was there one called Bradley-Wiggins?
The last one I can remember was Johnny Fucking-Woodhouse.
