Not sure whether I'm out of turn in posting this I am sure somebody will chastise me if I am! I believe according to twitter we are also at home to Tividale on 8 August.

Hull United AFC? Wow.
I guess due to JH's friendship with Curtis Woodhouse.
It's a big plus for me that it's only an hour away. But it's a big minus that it's in Hull...

Young Robert mentioned it was actually in or near to Goole and not Hull! That's even worse!

Yes, Goole's a bit like Colley Gate but without the beautiful views of The Lye.
As I think I've noted before, the Bard of Birkenhead sums it up nicely -
Twin town says we're just not cool.
So now we have a suicide pact with Goole.

Hull Utd play in Dunswell. Nowhere near Goole! Close to my home town of Beverley, which is slightly more picturesque than Colley Gate, where I was born.

That's two of us that have escaped from Colley Gate to Yorkshire.
We should start a club. Or more likely, a support group.

Some truth in that.
Nice to see in the Halesowen News that they've finally got the permission to knock down the row of shops by The Talbot, so that they can smarten it up a bit though.

My grandfather's house was right opposite the Talbot.... But, before we get to sound like The Bugle. Can anyone confirm the Hull Utd fixture? There is nothing on their website.

Another one arranged - Cradley Town (A) Saturday July 11th.
For those who haven't been to The Beeches before, you're in for a treat. Just make sure a stand doesn't fall on you.
It's only a shame that The Smith's has gone or you could have had the full Barn experience.
The Why Not is still open though (a favourite of mine over the years) and The Beef.
