You're only as good as your squad.

Tonks on the bench sat. Got a few mins.
Penny an un used sub.
Lait out injured.
Forde suspended.
That'd be a very good midfield on its own, more than capable at this level.
You've then got the option of Danks or indeed Penny to use as a forward option.
Defensively Brendon sat on the bench. Again, decent enough at this level. Possibly Meacham as well? Shame we haven't got a cover right back!
It does look a very strong squad, doesn't it? That midfield who didn't start this Sat, how many teams in this league would have those 4 in their line up?

We've got to applaud JH and I suspect Mike Burke for allowing us to strengthen at a critical time of the season.
Forde, Meach and especially Danks all add proven quality to the squad.
Is Tonksy injured or just being rested / rotated?

Tonks I suspect is fit, but can't get back into the side due to how Macca / Botfield have done in the centre. Also Danks has played well wide right.
Although, it wouldn't surprise me if he's not 100% fit either, usually hamstrings leave you out for up to 6 weeks.

Turner seems to have been overlooked in the above, any idea when he could be back,? The central midfield combination with Forde prior to them both exiting for different reasons was excellent.

Good point. Completely forgot Turner! My fault. He was doing well. Macca has stepped up brilliantly though.

And don't forget that Eric Bowen was jogging around on Saturday...another classy player

Saturday Turner said he would be back training this Thursday and hopes to feature in the last four games.
I think without any further injurys Forde will struggle to get back into action. His sending off was avoidable and his temperament looked like getting the better of him from his first match.
I agree thanks to the management on the pitch and Mike for strengthening when needed for this we deserve to win the league not just get into the playoffs.
