Goole
Anyone want to take a look into their crystal ball and see where this one's going?

Gool(e)ge the new owner and try not to think, "Ingram".
I hope they have room for the helicopter.
As ever, the mighty HMHB have a take on this,
"Twin town said we just weren't cool.
So now we have a suicide pact with Goole".
Wise words...

Re: Goole
I imagine that's biscuit related again, as all things football are / should be
Typical we play them a week on Saturday, so hopefully they won't have signed 15 ex pros on 3 year deals by then. Or indeed submitted plans for a hotel and conference facility on their ground.............

Re: Goole
Yes, that was exactly my thought. We'll play them just as they've signed Zema Abbey and Dean Brennan and haven't yet had time to get to the signings of that bloke who had to get a taxi from Coventry and that Finnish one who refused to come out of the dressing rooms.
If anyone from Goole comes on here, PM me, Sprout or Zee...

I did however get the following words from Google itself:-
jail
tycoon
playboy
in that order. Wonderful stuff this.......... Workington had a lucky escape by the looks of it...... although they do have the inbreds from down the road to play in the FA Cup..........

You septics or should it be sceptics, why are you both suspicious and reticent about any rich person taking over at any club?. Even allowing for his criminal record, he may be a very nice caring person, with a real interest in football who only wants to do good for the club and not make any thing out of it for himself like building an academy, housing estate, or hotel or perhaps even a landfill site on the grounds.

Re: Goole
I've been giving this some thought and particularly in the light of our own experiences at Halesowen it doesn't look very good the only silver lining I can see is that good football people seem to have been appointed and willing to take on the job and they wouldn't want their reputations damaged. So if I were supporting Goole I would be extremely concerned and preparing myself for the possibility of tough times ahead and maybe making the necessary enquiries about parties to contact in case of any problems. I would definitely however start panicking if the new management team suddenly decided to walk because of broken promises etc. As already been stated it will make our game against them in two weeks time interesting and a completely different kettle of fish in theory to what it might have been.
