Re: Club Crest Updated
Andy, I'd take a reasonable guess that the new badge will be on season tickets.
Just a guess, but what would the point in a new badge only to carry on using the old one?
That is of course, unless the season tickets have already been ordered for printing.
I get you dislike the new badge, but is it so bad that you'd boycott going to games full stop?
Refusing to buy merchandise is one thing but not attending a game would be another.

I still can't see a genuine explanation as to why it's been changed. If you can see one then fine, but I've re read the whole thread and can't find the numerous people you talk about.RobYeltz wrote:I think it's been mentioned by numerous people why it has been changed. Whether you agree with it or not, there seems a legitimate reason and it has been given.Yeltz27 wrote:I agree with Andy and everybody else who is unhappy about it. Why did it need changing? The media thing is nonsense. I think for something like this all of the fan base should have had a vote of some kind. The original badge looks fine on social media. It's Halesowen Town as we always hear, not a multi million pound business. What it looks like on things like Facebook and Twitter doesn't matter, but to people who have been going a long time, that badge will mean something. It's just disregarding history so we can have something new and modern. Who decided this?
But I have raised the point about people not listening and ignoring what they don't want to hear plenty of times before, so I expect that this badge is here to stay regardless. I have my reservations about the new restructure as well but I will leave that
I'm genuinely interested however in why you have reservations about the new restructure? Every single one of those people on the committee care deeply about the football club and have worked tirelessly for the football club in recent months. The new members of the committee this year, in my eyes - their integrity simply can not be questioned. In a time when people offering their help and support to this football club is about as rare as hens teeth I find it really disrespectful that you seem to have an issue with it. The club is hardly swamped with volunteers is it? People seem to have an issue with many elements of the club at the moment and folk involved can't do right whatever they do. Some just seem happy to have a pop at whatever happens.
I'd also like to point out I haven't said anything other than I have reservations about the restructure. I haven't said anything in any way that could be construed as being disrespectful. If you believe what you have posted then that is up to you, but maybe we have different opinions of what some of the words you have used mean.

Cheers Steve. If enough (as it appears there are) approached you personally and courteously to discuss this fiasco is there any chance something might be done?Sccmkcyr wrote:I don't comment on here after last time about problem issues however there is contact details on the website for questions etc Andy plus as I've said before I'm always around the ground in the season.andy wrote:I notice Steve has been on here a couple of times and not commented. So we keep been told its changed because of it being more media and commercial friendly (whatever that means). Today I am told it is because other people are using the old one and folk at the club are being phoned up and money/debts demanded. If the second is true, slightly alter it (put it in a circle or something) and copyright it. Both reasons obviously aren't true so what is the real story? This is NOT going to go away.

Can we count how many are, for, against or allow those in authority to do its job.
One issue i have with forums, it's the same name ranting repeatedly. We have 8 pages of waffle here and it looks like, from our average gate of 461, there must be 400 objectors, my guess, it could be as few as 30.
Canvassing public opinion on what design we may or may not have is a nonsense. In the early 1990's, I showed a programme cover design to 10 supporters and received nothing but unhelpful, nonconstructive comments, so decided on a, do it and ignore feedback approach.
For the record, I'd tick option 3.
I'm very big on tradition but before the 1980's, you'd have struggled to know what our badge was, indeed,k it was redrawn for the programme and tradition could be argued, wasn't anything worth losing sleep over. Think if we moved grounds, changed names/nicknames, what arguments then. Those running the Club are putting their hands up and doing the job and get whinged at by some who do nothing - very disappointing.
I love my Club and despite the whinny section, I love te people.

1 Forums are there for people to voice opinions, or there would be no forumcripcrap wrote:Can we count how many are, for, against or allow those in authority to do its job.

2 Where do get the idea 30 people would be against it. I could guess 300 but have no more idea than you
3 If I didn't love the club as well I wouldn't bother 'whinging' as you put it

Page 5 of this thread explains one reason why the badge has changed. You may not agree with it or like it, but it is saying why in one sense why it was changed.Yeltz27 wrote:I still can't see a genuine explanation as to why it's been changed. All I can say is, if that's an attempt to better exploit digital media it would have been better to have given the job to somebody with a modicum of talent.
It's a joke.
