I know there are still 10 or so games to go, but top spot must be between Ilkeston, Chasetown and ourselves.

Stamford and Belper are very likely to be the others in the play-offs. Given the disparity of opponents in the bottom half of this division, it will be difficult for any other team to break into the top 5 now.

With the goal difference, we need to keep winning and hope Ilkeston slip up twice. Not sure that will happen looking at the fixtures as overall, I think they have the easiest on paper.

Ilkeston

Histon
Spalding
CARLTON
Chasetown
COLESHILL
YAXLEY
Cambridge City
DAVENTRY
Bedworth
SHEPHED DYN
Wisbech

Chasetown

STAMFORD
Soham TR
ILKESTON
Halesowen
CAMBRIDGE CITY
Carlton
SUTTON COLDFIELD
Wisbech
SPORTING KHALSA
Spalding

Us

SOHAM TR
Carlton
LOUGHBOROUGH
Corby
CHASETOWN
Soham TR
HISTON
BEDWORTH
Belper
SUTTON COLDFIELD
Daventry

If Ilkeston are top after their game against Coleshill I think they are home and dry. We need to catch them before that. Not impossible but difficult. Here's hoping.🤞

A great night at 9.25pm........ not so at 9.30.......
10 man Ilkeston won 2-1 against Loffbro at home after trailing early on. And Chasetown won 1-0 with a last minute penalty....... we move on. Its only going to get more nervy and we need to hold ours
Valenciayeltz has admitted that it was his fault. He'll buy everyone a pint next time he's down The Grove.

Pressure does strange things. They may well stay strong down the straight, but they’d be defying the weight of history if they did. As I’ve said elsewhere, I reckon 88 points will be enough.

You may be right, but we may have to win all the remaining nine and hope Ilkeston draw with Chasetown. I would get long odds on that scenario though.

If we do go up directly or via the play-offs , then we will almost certainly be back in the Southern League with a few long trips east, but also quite a lot of local midland opponents.

If we stay where we are, look forward to potential matches against Long Eaton, Harborough, Boldmere, Hinckley and Gresley.

Interesting that Footballwebpages predicted final table has us as champions. I’m useless at copying links but click into our division then ‘league table’ and then default to ‘predicted final table’ and it comes up. Then at the bottom click into ‘results used for predictions’ and it make fascinating readings.

Query: If there are 3 leagues at our level (East, West and Midlands) each promoting 1 direct and 1 through the play-offs does this mean that 6 teams get relegated from Premier/Premier. I doubt it very much. What happens if we get promotion by either route? Or do we get sent to some other league?

very interesting predicted results but us 0-0 at carlton - no chance - score draw maybe
our toughest games, the vast wasteland of corby and plastic hell of daventry
ilkeston to draw at spalding

Ouch. I didn't realise Daventry had a plastic rug as well.
