As a final adjunct to this debate, there were incidents of abuse against players and opposing fans at games involving Workington, Whitby and Altrincham.
Whilst not defending what is purported to have happened last Saturday at The Grove, it does show that this is not something peculiar, however distasteful, to Halesowen Town FC.
A sign of the times?

The main difference between previous events and Monday is that the lad involved was clearly in a lot of distress and as they were trying to help him it was to this obnoxious backdrop of insults.
