Thoughts of Anderson and Rowley

Post by Wheels » 13 Jan 2016, 17:58

I just happened to type the word yeltz into the search bar on Twitter and found this article. Great to read they're both enjoying their time with us.

Love their passion, very positive for them and us. Fair play to the lads ! Cheers for sharing Chris.

Nice to hear them talking fondly of being here, if we can show Shrewsbury that the players are developing, getting good game time and are enjoying it, maybe it might show other professional clubs in the area that playing at a club like Halesowen can be beneficial to all parties concerned.

The young lad up front is top draw , he looks leathal in front of goal , but the thing that has really impressed is his attitude , no big time Charlie walking around waiting for the right pass , against Blyth it was horrendous conditions sleet , wind , he had his sleeves rolled up chasing every lost cause as well as tracking back when he was shoved out wide ,god knows why ,
Top lad , hope we can hold on to him .

I agree with that, the same could be said for the game at Marine. It was a heavy pitch, tricky conditions and against two strapping central defenders, but he was a real handful with his work rate and effort. He's clearly got a lot of natural ability. He reminds a lot of Ben to be honest, however the one main difference is I think Ben played a lot off instinct. This lad has clearly been coached well. He makes clever runs and his decision making is very good. If anyone from Shrewsbury is reading this though he'll almost certainly need the whole of the season here uninterrupted to go back a better player. ;-)
