There's a chap who I meet every week for work reasons and I thought I recognised him...

...turns out it's Jon Ford, our muckers up the road's assistant manager.

Smashing chap actually, and he's got a lot of time for the Yeltz being as he played for them at the start and end of his playing career - he was telling me about his first game for us away against Tamworth and he remembers it fondly.

He blames our recent plight on MM and does genuinely feel sorry for us, thinks it's a brilliant club etc., which I thought was nice.

He nearly melted my heart but I did eventually tell him to bugger orf as we'll be spanking their bottoms by 2015...
