Need testers for new version of the Android Yeltzland app

Post by Poll » 24 Jan 2022, 10:47

I've completely rewritten the Android version of the Yeltzland app, which should hopefully make it a lot better.

Although there aren't really any new features, the improvements include:
- A more modern UI
- Support for Dark Mode
- A new widget to show the latest results/next fixtures
- Many more minor tweaks and improvements

If you'd like to give it a go before I roll it out to everyone - and help me find any bugs - you can join the beta program by:
1. Opening the Google Play Store app
2. Search for "Yeltzland" and open the listing
3. Scroll down and click on "Join" under "Join the Beta"

In particular, if you are using a slightly older phone, it would be really useful to me for you to install it to check everything works OK.

Give me a shout if you have any questions - or find any bugs/problems - either DM me here, or email me at johnp@bravelocation.com

Cheers

Cheers!

Just use it, and tell me if you see anything wrong/broken/could be better

I'm hoping it'll all be fine though :)

I suspect "last but one".

I made that suggestion directly to Poll earlier. Fortunately (on this occasion) our Coton correspondent is an iPhone user

BTW here's a link that should take you straight to the App Store page on an Android phone:

Tried everything I can possibly find on there. All seems perfect on my Nokia android.👍

Thanks Andy - I've found a few minor issues this afternoon (probably only because I know what isn't 100% perfect)

They will be fixed before it's on general release, probably after the Ilkeston game next week
