Yeltzland mobile apps updated
New versions out today.
Nothing massively exciting, but I think I've fixed the "Forum logout" in the iOS app. I've been using this version for a couple of weeks and haven't been logged out yet, so I'm hopeful I've finally fixed it.
As ever, let me know if you see any problems.

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
I've been testing out some (minor) changes to the notifications in the iOS app, and it didn't quite work as expected.
If you got some random notifications, apologies!
If you didn't, please move along, nothing to see here

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
A new version of the Android app should be with you shortly...
There's a whole new design for the new season:
- I've removed the "typewriter" font, so everything is a bit more readable I hope.
- Some brand-spanking new icons in the app
- Fixed up some of the links, including to the new Yeltz TV YouTube channel
Before you ask, there is also a new release for iOS being worked on, to support all the new features in iOS 13 (out in September), as well as the updates above. I may put out a release before then, but not sure yet.
As ever, if you see any bugs or problems, let me know

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
Also, I removed the code where I track how many people are using the app a while back (because I don’t care), but there are still a few people using the original Android app.
If you are seeing links to the NPL in the more section, please delete and reinstall the app as you are missing a load of stuff

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
In the latest iOS version out last week I think I've finally fixed the issue where you kept being logged out of the Forum intermittently.
I've not been logged out in nearly 2 weeks of testing and using this version, so I really hope I've nailed it this time.

Bumping this up as there are still people using the very old Android app. It crashed for someone last night, and there will obviously be no fixes to the obsolete version.Poll wrote: ↑23 Jul 2019, 19:38Also, I removed the code where I track how many people are using the app a while back (because I don’t care), but there are still a few people using the original Android app.

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
New version of the Android app out today, with a few bug fixes. Give me a shout if you have any problems.
I've had to drop support for very old phones (running Android 4.4 - "KitKat" - and below). Basically the Twitter feed stopped working because of security issues that Google won't fix on such old devices.
The old version will continue to "work" - I think the Twitter part may have been broken for a while - but no new updates I'm afraid.
You can get the app from:
- Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ltzlandnew
- iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1111223048

Re: Yeltzland mobile apps updated
The latest versions of both the iOS and Android Yeltzland apps should be available now.
For Android, I've:
- Fixed up the widget so it both looks and works better
- Hopefully fixed the issue where users were sometimes logged out of the Yeltz Forum
- Some under the cover improvements
For iOS, there is:
- A big update in how we show the club's Twitter timeline (new phones only, and is still work in progress, but the old code hadn't been supported by Twitter for many years now and some parts weren't fully working)
- An updated Today screen widget (more coming soon in this area when iOS 14 comes out in the next few weeks)
- Lots of improvements to the WatchOS app (a whole new design, and an easier way of refreshing the data)
As ever, if you see any bugs or have any ideas for improvements, let me know
