Local(ish) derby

Tonight's second tier game between Zenit St Petersburg and Luch Energiya Vladivostock should have drawn a good away following. Round trip a mere TWELVE THOUSAND miles. Nice of the league to make it a night game, though with a 5 day each way journey by road it doesn't really matter what time it kicks off. I bet the No9 from there is packed.....

I hope it wasn't 0-0?

Worth it for the travelling masses. Vlad won 2-1.

And today they have surpassed it!!!
Baltika Kaliningrad have travelled the mere 6471 miles by road each way for a league match at Luch in Vladivostok. The best part of 13000 mile round trip. Nearly a week each way by car without stopping or 14 hours by plane each way. Makes last year's trip from Vlad to St Petersburg look like a local derby. And yes it finished 0-0.

I thought Forest away last night was a fair treck, not getting back home until 23:45ish.
