Rowett

Post by andy » 14 Dec 2016, 17:35

I am so pleased I no longer have much interest in the game at league level as this latest lunacy would make me weep. One of the brightest young AND English managers in the country is told he is not good enough by a know nothing bunch of foreigners. We should ban ALL foreign ownership of clubs in this country and live within our means. The Chinese have taken over West Midlands football now and not one of them knows jack shit about it. No English owners, no English managers, no English players, no wonder were crap. This country has gone to the dogs.

....and to compound it, one of my all time favourite people in football is favourite for the job! Why isn't half of Italy wanted him to sign on the dotted line? They must be as mad as us.....

An inexplicable decision if based on football alone, one thing is that there will be no shortage of clubs after him, but who is the replacement you on on about, Brummie ?

Gianfranco Zola. Legend. Something we will not have many of because they cant even get regular football due to all the imports.

On the subject of Zola, I have massive respect for him because he promised all his career that he would finish it at his hometown club Cagliari, who he had never played for. True to his word he joined them in Serie B and captained them to promotion. Returned to them later as manager only to become one of the nearly 30 casualties of the chairman. That chairman, Massimo Cellino, is now doing his best to ruin football somewhere else. Country daft enough to have him? Of course, England. Well done Leeds. ::)

Yep, 18 months. Strangely starting in February.
