Truro's run in

Post by andy » 29 Mar 2024, 16:32

Eleven games to play in 3 weeks. But happy days for their supporters, nine of them are at home. Aaah, home. It was Plymouth, but that was too close. Moved to Taunton. Ouch. Still too close? Thier remaining nine home games will now be played at Meadow Park, home of Gloucester City. A mere THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY EIGHT MILE round trip! That's like us having nine home games in Hastings. At least one of them is a Saturday though.....

....and with Chippenham (388 miles also) and Dartford (574 miles) that's a grand total of 4454 miles in 3 weeks to finish the season. I wonder how many fans will do the lot? ;D

Thanks for sharing this. Almost feel like making the journey (at least once) to give them some support

That was exactly my logic the first time we played there. For us it was a long journey, but a one-off. for them it it a regular occurrence. For example, the week after we played there in 2009, they were due at Leamington the week after.

Andy pointed out Chippenham. That one is relatively local for them, almost a derby match. No doubt that Robin Blue Wig predicts that Chips n Ham will take 500 to Truro and that Truro need to order in extra beer ::)
