I suspect Andy's personal life details in wikipedia are not credible?:

Truly excellent.

I would love to believe it all true, as it makes a most amusingly fantastic story :)

But what a player! Joined us as centre forward, left us as centre half? Or is it the other way around?

A protege of John Morris, I believe.

Over to you, Sir Chas of Hasbury.

A John Morris recruit indeed!! I don't have him down as a centre forward, the nearest is his position in our line-up at The Gasboys at the end of our promotion year:

16-Apr-90 Stourbr*dge A 1,238 1 0
CLARKE EDWARDS LANGFORD SMITH E HUNTER FLYNN HAZLEWOOD
HAYWARD PENN JOINSON P* PEARCE subs: PRICE HARDWICK
A few unusual numberings there - Tim Langford at no3 etc.

Was his debut Ashtree Highfield away? If so, did he come on as a sub and play up front?

He was firstly selected as sub at Ashtree:
26-Dec-88 ASHTREE HFLD A 669 3 0
WILLIAMS PENN PRICE CASH SMITH E HANCOX RHODES FLYNN
SPINK* JOINSON P** JOINSON L subs: PEARCE STURGESS

I don't know if he came on as sub.
