When I first saw the blurry picture on my phone I thought it was Paddy. Never gave the year a thought. ::)
Upon inspection of clear photo I recognise him but can't remember.
bill bishop ?
Ooh I think you've just completed the set. I will award you whatever prize Doc comes up with when I see you Saturday. ;D

No, we have to name the crowd too.
There 7-8 faces there, we must know some of them.

I was a mere pup and was probably still sitting in there with my grandad at the time but I don’t recognise anyone.

Andy, these photos tell you that the caretaker manager at Gainsborough was “H” but a different one to that who I think you’ve assumed so far

Was the guy to the left of Deano surnamed Saul?

Andy I reckon the H who was caretaker was Henry Crampton. It’s KenR who’s added confusion, he’s so excited to get a T20 Finals ticket for the mighty Rapids, are we likely to get more from him over next few days?

Orbell was sub half a dozen times at the start of 1988/89 season, the last time being at Rushden a fortnight after Gainsboro. He could have come on as sub in those matches.
